In God's Good Time

The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

1 John 2:17

This piece is about Heaven above, Earth below, and how over time the world has sought its own way, and not God's way. The entire piece is divided vertically by a strip of space. God is above, represented by the Holy Spirit (a feather that moves with the slightest movement of air), Jesus (a portrait drawn in carbon pencil), and Father God (a golden orb).

Below and to the left are six blue marbles, representing the world. The first marble is the time of Adam and Eve, and there are no wires around it. The wires represent sin, and as time progresses to the right, more and more wires are wrapped around the marbles. In the center is a picture of the earth framed in its technological wonders.

The marbles on the right represent the reclaiming of souls, ending with a gold sphere. The gold sphere is a future time when Jesus returns to this world to reign.
