The Glory of Kings

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

Proverbs 25:2

This piece is about our search for knowledge. It has a male and female figure reaching out towards the large golden orb, which represents God. God is the source of all knowledge, having created all things. So it is that as we discover new technologies, miracle drugs, distant planets, anything that has previously been unknown from our knowledge, we are only uncovering what God has hidden.

This piece has two Plexiglas panels attached to the top and bottom. Underneath the top panel, behind transparent paint, are the words "IT IS THE GLORY OF GOD TO CONCEAL A MATTER". On the bottom panel are the words "TO SEARCH OUT A MATTER IS THE GLORY OF KINGS". The words on the bottom are in the open.

The three golden orbs represent the trinity of God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The figures have been cut out of computer circuit board, and then painted.

The piece is mounted to a wooden frame that has been painted black and wired for hanging.
